Saturated fats are fats without double bonds in their chemical composition. They are solid at room temperature and they are most gotten from animal, products like diary, some plants, example cheese, butter, etc. These types of fats can increase your cholesterol levels.

Unsaturated fats however have double bonds in their chemical composition and they are liquid at room temperature. They are mostly gotten from plant based food and the are considered as the healthy fats. Example, soy, groundnut, pear etc.

Saturated vs. unsaturated fats. It’s not practical to eliminate saturated fat because you can find these in many foods, replacing saturated fats with unsaturated in the diet has been shown to lower blood cholesterol. The unsaturated fats is more good than saturated.
