What is low carb diet?
Definition ; A low carb diet is basically a diet which reduces the amounts of carbohydrates intake and increases proteins and fat in take.
Proportions; There are various low carb diets available. Each diet provides the amounts of carbohydrates that one should take. So from my point of view the proportion is determined by the the type of diet in question.
How it helps us ; Mostly these diets are used for weight loss. when one reduced carbohydrates intake it leads to reduction of insulin production. This causes the body to utilize the stored fat and protein as the main source of energy which eventually leads to weight loss.
