How does fat cause obesity?
Everyone is unique and different. So, everybody’s fat storation is also different. Excess fat is never healthy, and specially the visceral fat that surrounds our liver and organs in the abdominal area. Unhealthy fat increases the risk of many health problems.
High fructose sweetened foods and drinks specially can lead to belly fat. So, avoid those high in sugar foods and beverages.
High intake of saturated fat also increases belly fat. So, all the full-fat dairy products and meat needs to be enjoyed in moderation.
Lack of exercise and sleep can accumulate belly fat. In a study, people who did high intensity workout, lost more belly fat than those who did less workout. Another study shows that, obese people with sleep apnea had more belly fat than obese people without sleep apnea. So, right amount of exercise and sleep can really benefit us.
Fat is good but excess fat which eventually builds up in the hip, thighs and mostly abdominal region can cause obesity. It definitely increases over all body fat but those areas are the most susceptible ones. Even the arms. It is hard to see and over weight person without abdominal and belly fats.
Eating lots of foods high in sugar especially fructose and unsaturated fats can cause obesity. There are other causes like eating disorder, stress etc.
